About Me
Professionally, I am a bi-lingual graduate of the Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg with 18 years of experience in the journalism, entertainment, beauty, fashion, and art industries.
As a long-time manager and leader, I have acquired the knowledge necessary to delegate tasks, maintain organization, and thoughtful efficiency with a portfolio of work that you are viewing today. I have worked on several freelance projects in many facets of writing, marketing, and online digital content. This has allowed me opportunities to apply my skills into retail, photoshoots, social media marketing, and other acclaimed productions both locally and abroad.
Along with my time at the Art Institute, I am also a graduate of William Rainey Harper College and spent some time at Columbia College in Chicago.
I continue to be ambitious in becoming a well-rounded and efficient contributor to my clients and co-workers and would love to assist anyone looking for a visionary, insightful, forward-thinking talent. My experience being on many sides of online digital content has given me the versatility and the flexibility to fit into many roles.
I'm a nurturer and very much a loyal person. It's not really a humblebrag, but more that I care a great deal about quality whether it's in my work, family, or friendships. Commitment is something important to me and has everything to do with how I bring things to fruition. I have two beautiful daughters, 15 and 3 that have been the source of how I realized what my most important values were. Other than spending time with my family, I'm definitely trying to nap when I can! I'm also a bit of a yogi and working towards a teaching certification. I'm a big movie fan and love comic book conventions, live shows, and festivals.
My Latest Projects
Evolution Counseling
I was commissioned to assist a counseling and therapy practice with possibly rebranding an old Wordpress site. Our conversation made it clear that functionality and simplicity was needed for this very busy business owner. Although Wordpress allows for fantastic customization, something more streamlined and easy to update was needed. All content and copy was updated and created with Wix.
Claire On A Chair
This published children's book was part of a new product that was to be available at Claire's during the holiday season. A plush ballerina bunny came packaged with a paperback book. This was mostly collaborative with the Creative & Art Directors on hand to help steer the project. My role was to create the story itself based on a bunny and her adventures inside the magical land that is Claire's.
